REACH OG Learning Centres are academic remediation/intervention and Orton-Gillingham training centres, formed to assist individuals who are struggling to learn to read or spell and provide the highest quality in OG teacher training. The name REACH reflects the acronym: Remedial Education for Adults and Children. Our centres offering Student Services provide supports to students and families using the Orton-Gillingham approach to remediating language-based learning difficulties. Our OG Practitioner teams have all been specifically trained to teach reading, writing and basic language skills to students who have difficulties acquiring these skills. Our centres offering Training Services provide high quality, peer reviewed OG training coursework and professional development to educators in Canada and around the world. Our founder has been supporting students with language remediation for almost three decades. Our first centre opened its doors in North Vancouver, BC, Canada in 2004 and was the first fully accredited OG centre providing specific OG intervention lessons in Canada. Since then, we have grown to four centres across Canada and have successfully remediated reading and spelling difficulties for thousands of children, and provided high quality OG training and Structured Literacy professional development to thousands of educators around the world.
