The Gateway of Hope - Spiritual Care

Gateways Spiritual Care program provides one-on-one spiritual and pastoral care for those seeking Spiritual Care services and/or desiring to know more about God. The program seeks to make Jesus Christ and the Gospel known, and to nurture men and women in their faith towards a life of committed discipleship to Jesus Christ. The program is responsible for delivering Christian-based programs such as daily chapel services, Bible study, prayer meetings, and outreach and Christian-focused community-building events at the Gateway of Hope. We value the dignity of those we serve as being created in the very image of God, the truth and the power of Gods Word, prayer, the work of the Holy Spirit and the Great Commission. Coffee House Join us every Thursday, 5:00-6:30pm (ongoing between September to June) for a hot and delicious meal, live music, and a relaxing and friendly environment that includes games and fellowship. Coffee House is located in our Amenities Room on the 1st floor of Gateway of Hope. One on One/Prayer Part of our mandate is to show the love of Jesus Christ through our relationships. Anyone is welcome to sit with our Spiritual Care Coordinator to have an open ended dialogue or time of prayer. This is not a counseling session but a time to feel safe, listened to and loved. Our Spiritual Care Coordinator can provide spiritual direction, prayer and care to any shelter guest, resident or community member that seeks their services. Please call or email to make an appointment or speak to the Spiritual Care Coordinator before coming for a visit so they can make the time to spend with you. Bible Studies Gateway of Hope runs a Bible Study or program each season so that we may study the Word together and grow in our faith. Please check below for any available studies. Bible Study Every Tuesday 5:30pm to 6:45pm, please contact our Spiritual Care Coordinator for more details. Previous Studies include: Christianity Explored Purpose Driven Life All studies are open to the community to attend and are held in the Amenities room on our 1st floor. Chapel Services Twice a week, Gateways staff, volunteers and interested guests and residents enjoy time spent in worship with songs, encouraging devotional and prayer. This is not a requirement but an optional time to start your day focused on Jesus and his encouraging words. Every Wednesday from 8:30am 8:45am. Every Friday from 11:30am 12pm (Community Meal begins at 12:30 after this service).
