About this service
The Ladysmith Resources Centre Association (LRCA) Foodbank program is in the Heart on The Hill building at 630 2nd Avenue. Currently we support more than 100 Ladysmith families every week. This number is growing.
As a program within the LRCA, we can offer our clients access to food security capacity building initiatives, housing support services and community wellness services that address barriers to self sufficiency. We believe in building capacity for individuals and families as well as providing emergency food relief.
The LRCA food bank program is generously supported by donations from local businesses, private citizens, Foodbanks BC, Foodbanks Canada, and the Province of BC. Food is then redistributed through a caring team of volunteers, staff and resources provided by the LRCA.
