KHRP - Homeless Prevention Program (HPP)

A safe and welcoming place to:

1) Talk about housing challenges

2) Access emergency food

3) Learn about renting in Kitimat and other communities

4) Use phone to call landlords and community resources

5) Start goal-setting for housing, work, income, health & wellness and

learn about supportive community resources

6) Get help with transportation to appointments, meetings, &

community resources in Kitimat & Terrace

7) Register for government assistance programs (such as Disability &

Income Assistance, BC Subsidized Housing Registry, Rental

Supplements, and Pharmacare)

8) Learn about the Residential Tenancy Act and get help with tenancy

challenges

9) Access skills training and support to help you maintain your tenancy
