About this service
One Cup at a Time is a employment training program within a fully operating social enterprise cafe located in downtown Kelowna that trains and reconnects people to the workforce who were otherwise removed as a result of their disability, mental illness, or other self-identified barrier to employment.
The program consists of 6 months of employment readiness and skill development, industry certification, and paid hands-on caf employment. Participants develop a range of skills related to the food-service industry including but not limited to, customer service, point of sale (POS), and barista training. Participants will also receive the following service industry recognized certifications:
- Occupational First-Aid Level 1
- WHMIS 2005
- Food Safe Level 1
- World Host
- Serving It Right
