About this service
ACES (Acquiring Community-Based Employment Skills) is a JHS province-wide program, which is delivered by regional John Howard Societies in eight communities across BC. ACES provides employability and life-skills workshops, safety certificate and skills enhancement training, and supported work experiences to individuals facing multiple barriers to employment.
Who can use it?
Admission criteria: Be 18 years of age or older Live in British Columbia, and be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person legally entitled to work in Canada Be unemployed, underemployed, or employed in a low skilled occupation Not participating in another government-funded labour market program, and not a full-time student Additional eligibility requirements may apply
