About this service
The City of Grand Forks and BC Housing are partnering to build up to 34 units of supportive housing.
BC Housing is working on a plan for homes with supports for people in the Grand Forks area who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This is in response to an urgent need for more affordable housing in the community.
The original plan was for BC Housing to build up to 34 supportive housing units at 7382 2nd St. The City of Grand Forks asked BC Housing to consider placing the supportive housing on the four city-owned lots on 70th Avenue adjacent to the BC Housing family housing project currently under construction at 6889 19th St. As part of the consideration for changing the proposed location, the City of Grand Forks will be leading on the rezoning process for the proposed 70th Avenue site.
