About this service
The Meaope Transition House program provides safe shelter, meals, and short-term support to women and their children who are experiencing family violence, personal crisis, or who are at risk due to homelessness.
PROGRAM FOCUS
- Women will be assisted in developing a transition plan to set goals for their future.
- Women will have opportunities to learn that abuse can be physical, emotional, or verbal, or when they are threatened or harmed physically, emotionally, mentally, or financially by another individual this includes sexual abuse and sexual assault.
- Women may choose to be referred to the Victim Services, Womens Outreach, Womens Counselling, and Children Who Witness programs as well as other services and supports in the community.
