About this service
The Homeless Outreach Program provides:
- Case planning: goal setting, action planning, and support
- Referrals: to housing options, Income Assistance, and community services
- Mediation: Often with landlords
- Skills Training for maintaining housing
This service is collaborative with other community service providers and acts as a point of integrated case management to guide clients to the various services available in the community. The goal is to support clients towards achieving the lifestyle, skill set, and resources needed to obtain and sustain housing.
The Homelessness Prevention Program may provide:
- Rental supplement up to $450.00, provided eligibility criteria is met and funds are available
- Tenancy Support, skills training, and case planning
- Support in building / maintaining relationships with landlords
- Education and resources for their landlords to help support and maintain tenancies
