About this organization

Providing affordable housing for seniors in the North Peace region.

The North Peace Seniors Housing Society is a charitable non-profit housing society that has been providing affordable housing and support services for the senior citizens of Fort St. John and area since 1967.

Our buildings are not government subsidized or operated, so seniors who are eligible may apply for a tax free rental subsidy; SAFER (Shelter Aid for Elderly Renters) Application forms for this subsidy are available at our office.

144 self contained units, 100 of which are apartments for low and moderate income seniors. The remaining 44 units that are affordable Supportive housing for Seniors, supplying 2 meals per day. The Senior facilities are North Peace Seniors Housing Apartments 1, 2, 3, and 4. There is an age restriction of 60 for renting them. Before we can place your name on the waiting list we require you to fill out our 1 page application and mail, fax or deliver it to our office.
