About this service
Is a supportive and confidential counseling program coordinated by Lora Plotnikoff.
This program provides outreach supportive services to women in the Castlegar community who have experienced abuse or violence.
Another component of the program is to raise community awareness regarding violence against women and the importance of violence prevention. Supportive services available through this program are based on victim need and include:
- Low cost housing
- Referrals to relevant community services Transportation to appointments
- Advocacy
- Assistance accessing Safe Homes and Transition Houses
