About this service
Perhaps the most recognizable Waypoints service, Unity House, is an Emergency Women's and Children's Shelter located in Fort McMurray. The Shelter can be accessed 24 hours a day and 7 days a week by women with or without children. We maintain a 36 bed shelter and provide emergency, temporary accommodations for a period of 21 days. Thanks to community donations, we can provide clothing, toiletries, full meal service, and children's toys to women and children accessing the shelter. This service is partially funded by the Alberta Government.
