Court Support Program

Our court support program aims to provide legal resource referrals, safety planning and support around navigating the courthouse, providing an empathetic ear during what can be a scary and stressful process. Outreach staff meet with clients in shelter as well as in satellite offices in Three Hills and Drumheller. Outreach also offers flexible hours and the option of occasional phone sessions. Sometimes the connection is short-term or in groups (Sagesses Finding Our Voices), but outreach workers are also able to build long-term relationships with their clients and celebrate that moment when their services are no longer needed. What is court support? Information and referrals to community legal programs Emotional support through the court process Safety planning for the court process Attending court hearings (EPO applications/reviews, parenting order applications) Provide support to clients in Drumheller, Calgary, and Strathmore courts What court support is not? Completing or deciphering legal documents legal representation legal advice To obtain more information on our court support program call 403-934-6634. Who can access: Any adult residing in Strathmore and surrounding rural communities. How to access: Clients can call anytime to complete an outreach assessment. If outreach staff are out of office crisis workers will complete the assessment. No referral is necessary.
