About this service
The Outreach Program meets people where theyre at in many ways. Outreach staff meet with clients in an office setting. Transportation is a common barrier and rural communities often have limited support services, with few specializing in family violence. Access to free and convenient outreach services and support can make all the difference for a survivor of abuse. Outreach workers are invaluable resources for assessing risk, planning for safety, and opening doors to partner agencies. The Outreach Program provides risk assessment, safety planning, community resourcing and supportive counselling to individuals residing in the community. Clients may be in their relationship, preparing to leave, returning home, building a new life or struggling to find helpful and accessible resources to support a safe and healthy life.
