About this organization
ACAA IS DEDICATED TO
the prevention of emotional, physical and sexual child abuse and promotes safe, healthy, well-functioning children, families and communities through preventive education and treatment.
ACAA provides treatment services to survivors of childhood sexual abuse and/or trauma. Our team of specialized therapists are located in several communities of East Central Alberta.
A primary strategy to prevent abuse and violence in our families, is to offer workshops and presentations to people of all ages. ACAA has preventive programs for students (Pre-K to age 17), parents, and training opportunities for front line workers and community members.
ACAA has a variety of services to support survivors, family members, and those who have recently experienced sexual violence, including in-home support services, specialized police & court support services and support groups.
