About this service
The Home Visitation program is a long-term family education and support program serving families throughout pregnancy until their child enters kindergarten. It is available to families who reside in St. Albert and require information on parenting and child development. This is a free program to participants who meet criteria.
What you can expect:
- A Parent Educator who will meet you in your home, the community or our office;
- A Parent Educator trained in Triple P and/or Parents as Teachers(see below);
- Advice on healthy attachment;
- Parenting tips;
- Regular developmental screenings;
- Community resources and referrals;
- Fun activities that promote development;
- Regular group meetings; and
- A culturally appropriate Parent Educator and program.
Home Visitation provides positive opportunities for families to raise their children in a healthy, safe and secure environment.
