About this service
Tobacco Reduction Counselling
- tprovided on a one to one basis by a Registered Nurse or Pharmacist, with special training as Certified Tobacco Educators, as support for anyone who would like to reduce the use of or quit using tobacco products. We offer many tools to help you work towards your goal and achieve success.
Patients can self-refer or be referred to the program by a physician or provider.
QuitCore is a FREE group support program that provides Albertans (18+) with the tools and skills they need to quit using tobacco for good. The program consists of six 90-minute sessions over a period of up to nine weeks. At the end of QuitCore, Alberta Quits provides you with a Alberta Blue Cross card valued $500 which can be used for smoking cessation medications.
