Foothills AIM Society

Our mission at FAIM is to promote inclusion for persons with developmental disabilities within our local communities of the Municipal Districts of Foothills and Wheatland County. FAIM affirms that every person with a disability has basic needs that must be met: the need for a decent standard of living; to love and to be loved in return; to be understood and accepted for who they are; to live and work where self esteem can be enhanced; to form friendships and relationships; to gain skills; to be recognized as the unique individual each person is; to demonstrate strengths and abilities and to receive support for their needs.

To receive support from FAIM, you must first receive a referral to FAIM directly from Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD). In addition to the referral from PDD, all prospective applicants to FAIM must meet the following requirements: Be 18 years of age or older Display a need and desire to receive services from FAIM To do list prior to application: Contact the PDD branch of the Community & Social Services Ministry of the Alberta Government in order to determine eligibility for funding for support Set an appointment and meet with a Service Coordinator from PDD Confirm you are eligible for services from a PDD contracted agency in the Calgary Region
