About this service
Education and understanding are key elements in prevention. At Pace, it is our goal to educate the communities in our region by providing accurate information and resources using a combination of tools: lectures, PowerPoint presentations, group discussions, media resources, and handouts. The purpose of the Public Awareness Program is to affect attitudes and behaviors surrounding sexual abuse, sexual assault, and trauma in a way that reduces these issues and their impact.Public Awareness Programs include a variety of informational presentations, which range in focus from educating children and youth about childhood sexual abuse and sexual violence, to providing developmentally delayed and/or disabled individuals and their caregivers with educational supports to recognize healthy boundaries, safe and unsafe actions, and sexual harassment.
