About this service
The Medical First Response team of TSR (Technical Search & Rescue) was founded in 2008, becoming the first in Canada to integrate Advanced Care Paramedics in their search teams. The team encompasses Wilderness Medical Responders, Emergency Medical Responders, Primary Care Paramedics, Advanced Care Paramedics, and Registered Nurses. They use advanced technology for online consultations with emergency physicians. In addition to this, they have Search Managers who are experts in search and rescue operations and have additional training to organize and coordinate these operations. These managers execute the response plan considering available resources, expertise and training, risk assessment, and mitigation. They are responsible for every member of the search team.
