About this service
This is Grande Prairies only hot meal delivery program for the most vulnerable population in the city. Our innovative approach involves redirecting excess food products from establishments in the city, directly to those in need. This two-pronged approach aims to reduce food inequality in our community while reducing food waste. .
- We approach local food establishments to donate one meal each day.
- If the food establishments decide to participate, our volunteers collect any number of meals on weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis.
- The donated hot meals are packed delivered within thirty minutes to Rotary house.
- Saturday Supper: Each Saturday, our volunteers prepare meals in a certified commercial kitchen and deliver them to Rotary House (Shelter for Homeless).
