Grande Prairie Accessible Transit (GPAT) provides shared public transit services for residents of the City of Grande Prairie and certain areas of the County of Grande Prairie who cannot utilize regular transit due to physical or cognitive impairments. The services are funded by contributions from the city and county and require registration and approval for use. Buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and permit customers with special mobility needs and their attendants at no extra cost. GPAT uses a tap-and-go SUPERPASS system for payments, though exact cash fares are still accepted. Passes are only valid for accessible transit and cannot be used for conventional buses.
