About this service
Parents as Teachers is an internationally respected family education and support program for parents with children birth to five years of age. This free program is designed to bring play, books, developmental information and support to your home. The Parents as Teachers Program will help parents as they raise their children by reinforcing their roles in their childs life. The program recognizes that nobody knows their child like a parent and concludes that the parent is therefore the best possible teacher to his /her child. Parents as Teachers will teach parents new creative ways to interact with their children as well as reinforce basic parenting principles based on a well researched curriculum. We offer personal home visits, child screening, resource network providing links to other needed services in the community, group meetings, and workshops and play programs.
