About this service
Wings second-stage shelter has 20 fully furnished, 2 or 3 bedroom apartments. Families stay at Wings for 6 months and during that time they attend programming which involves group and individual counseling. Topics discussed in group help to foster parenting and life skills, as well as help mothers understand and better cope with family violence. Kids group and youth programming discuss topics such as self-esteem, the family and feelings. It also allows the children and youth to participate in activities and enjoy special outings.
