About this service
Sunshine Coast Health Centre offers the Family & Couples Weekend once a month. The location of the Family & Couples Weekend alternates each month between SCHCs main campus in Powell River and a location Calgary.
The Family and Couples Weekend has a positive tone. We adhere to scientific and therapeutic best practices. All information provided in the program is based on a evidence-based research.
SCHCs Family & Couples Weekend is designed for the family, not the client. We want to help you discover how you have been making sense of your loved ones addiction and how you have dealt with it. Well give you a new way of thinking to help you cope better.
One important difference between the Family Weekend and Couples Day is the participation of the family member in treatment. Clients in our programs join their partners in the Couples Day, but not in the Family Weekend.
