About this service
The Girls and GRIT Program empowers girls to participate in sport by removing barriers so more girls can play.
Girls and GRIT is a collaborative fundraising initiative between KidSport Edmonton and the Paralympic Sports Association that empowers girls to participate in sport by removing barriers so more girls can play. Both groups identified girls were being under represented in those they support with girls only applying for the currently offered partial funding, 30% of the time. By supporting a lifestyle that includes physical activity early, girls are more likely to lead healthier lives and enjoy increased quality of life as they get older.
