About this service
Family mentorship is the core of what we do at Gateway, which is encompassed in our Families Forward meetings. Our organization was founded by families who came together to create change in our community. We continue to draw on the knowledge, support, and experience of families in our day-to-day work, while providing regular opportunities for families to come together.
Parents with children with developmental and other disabilities have gained experience, insight and skills along the way to navigate funding, schooling and other needs. What do you wish you knew before hand? What would you like to tell someone else with younger children in a similar experience? In an interactive and creative experience, we will catalogue and share our unique resources to help others navigate similar journeys.
