About this service
The Edmonton Meals on Wheels Grocery Bag program helps get basic grocery items to people who cannot shop on their own. The Grocery Bag offers a wide variety of foods chosen to provide a healthy diet based on Canadas Food Guide. Produce selections include an assortment of either vegetables or fruit for one or two people.
The Grocery Bag is open to anyone who:
- is not physically able to grocery shop
- has difficulty getting to a grocery store
- has limited help with shopping and cannot shop on their own
- lives in Edmonton
- the program is also open to families providing assistance to a loved one or individuals recovering from hospitalization, illness, injury or respite.
