About this service
A diabetes education program that combines western medicine with Indigenous traditional teachings. Provides diabetes education using a holistic and cultural approach for First Nations (Status and Non-status) Metis and Inuit patients and families. Within our chronic disease mandate, this clinic provides a four day, culturally-based, holistic diabetes education program (meals and accommodation included), as well as 1 day follow-up appointments with the wellness team. This service is for pre-existing or newly diagnosed patients, and patients are encouraged to bring a support person.
Who can use it?
First Nations (Status and Non-status) Metis and Inuit patients and their families.

AHS - Anderson Hall is open 9:00 am - 4:30 pm M to F.
