About this organization
The Stride Advocacy Project works to strengthen community based advocacy that relates and navigates systems and institutions while creating access without fear spaces for marginalized and low income Albertans.
We are training and building a network of community advocates in Lethbridge, Edmonton, Calgary, Slave Lake and St. Paul. These advocates will support grassroots agencies as allies as well as provide important support in the community by supporting self advocacy and education. They will be engaged in the delivery of community clinics that aim to create a safe space for people to be heard and supported.
Stride Advocacy is a project of the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights in partnership with Apiistamiiks White Buffalo Trailblazers, Alberta Hate Crimes Committee, Coalition for Justice and Human Rights, Interfaith Food Bank with support from the Government of Alberta and Government of Canada.
