About this organization
The Calgary Rural Primary Care Network (CRPCN) is a not-for-profit organization that has been supporting communities and promoting primary health care services in rural Alberta since 2006. As a joint venture with Alberta Health Services, the CRPCN aims to transition health care from reactive to preventative by collaborating with family doctors, nurses, dietitians, and other health care professionals. The organization represents 42 clinics and 145 health care providers, serving over 135,000 residents across various communities. The CRPCN facilitates access to appropriate health services, as well as nutrition, wellness, and mental health initiatives. They work on fostering continuous dialogue between family doctors, Alberta Health Services, and community partners to improve health and prevent illness.
