About this organization

The Chestermere Public Library is a community-based establishment founded through the collective efforts of committed local residents. Established in 1993 by the Chestermere Library Board, it officially opened its doors to the public on November 27th, 2007. The Library offers its services to the inhabitants of Chestermere and Rocky View County and has been operating as a registered charity since January 1, 2015. Apart from a broad range of books for borrowing, the library also provides services such as exam proctoring, book suggestion, printing, copying, scanning, laminating, and special collections access. The Library also hosts diverse programs and events including book clubs, cultural and holiday activities. The Chestermere Public Library's major funders include the City of Chestermere, the Province of Alberta, Rocky View County, Marigold Library System, and TRAC.
