About this service
The Phoenix Program provides specialized, trauma-sensitive treatment that is informed by the Halton Trauma Centres Safe T Program. It focuses on building capacity for sexual health, and is individually tailored to meet the need of each child and family. Families and caregivers are provided informed supervision training in the program/their home community to better manage sexual behaviour risk.
Youth in the program typically have some form of forensic involvement, and have also experienced their own histories of maltreatment and trauma. Treatment length is typically 13 months in duration.
