About this service
Living Support Services assist individuals to live as independently as possible and maintain a home of their choice that is safe, secure, comfortable and affordable. Living supports may be provided in a variety of settings. Supports are individual, customized, flexible and client-driven.
The purpose of Living Support Services is to focus on personal choice and lifestyle preferences as they relate to the clients living situation. Supports may include skill training and development, overnight support, personal care, assistance with medication and/or health care, household management, developing and maintaining relationships, accessing community resources and engaging in satisfying and enjoyable leisure activities.
Living Support Services may be provided in a range of settings, including:
- staffed overnight residences shared by 2 or more peer roommates
- supportive roommate situations
- supported independent living
