About this service
Program creates barrier-free volunteering opportunities for adults with and without disabilities. It helps all applicants find meaningful internal and external volunteering opportunities.
Program objectives:
- Provide opportunities for participants to have meaningful, productive roles in society
- Support all applicants to find a volunteering opportunity, whether internal or external
- Decrease social isolation and enhance community integration for persons with disabilities
- Support other organizations to provide volunteering opportunities
How it works:
One-on-one consultation with new participants identifies the aspirations, skills, needs and interests of each individual.
Positions are customized to fit individuals with their aspirations, skills, needs and interests in mind.
Participants obtain fulfilling learning experience, and unique opportunities within the community.
Benefits:
Participation will help decrease social isolation and enhance community integration for those living with a disability.
