How does Covenant Care approach hospice care?
Covenant Care provides holistic, personalized and compassionate care that celebrates life and addresses each residents physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. We believe each resident is special, sacred and deserves to be comforted and treated with dignity. Our care teams strive to make this difficult time manageable and meaningful for our residents and their loved ones by providing family-centered care whenever possible and enabling our residents to die with dignity.
Referrals to hospice are available through the palliative care teams in hospital or home care programs .
Admission criteria include: adults that have a life limiting illness and are no longer pursuing active curative treatment. Focus is strictly on comfort care
