About this service
Trauma is defined as a deeply distressing or disturbing experience or a physical injury. Both require professional help to assist the healing process and find the road back to health.
Lifes challenges can have a significant effect on the way we see ourselves and live our lives. Seeking Safety is a ten-week program that can help you find positive meaning from past challenges.
Seeking Safety is particularly relevant if you are experiencing or struggling with:
- substance abuse
- feeling overwhelmed or confused
- a traumatic event
- violence
- abusive relationships
- self harm
- depression or anxiety
Seeking Safety sessions will take place on a weekday evening for two-hours at a time in a central location. Clients will be divided into appropriate age and gender groupings to ensure clients are comfortable in their counselling environment.
Who can use it?
Persons struggling with substance abuse, trauma, violence, self-harm and/or mental health concerns
