About this service
ARBIs On-Site Program is an intensive rehabilitation program with the goal of providing a bridge from medically delivered rehabilitation to community-based programs that will sustain recovery long-term. Each individual receives a personalized program based on his or her specific goals. ARBIs Volunteer Leader carefully matches volunteers with clients, and our rehabilitation staff implements the program, with the support of volunteers.
The On-Site Program includes both individual and group activities that may include elements of traditional therapy, new methods for managing daily tasks, as well as social and emotional support. Each individuals goals are addressed through a variety of functional exercises. Depending on the severity of the injury, initial goals may vary from improving the ability to swallow or speak, to long-term goals that may include planning a day trip, volunteering in the community or moving back home with loved ones.
