About this service
Through the Community Integration Program (CIP), survivors engage in meaningful activities in the community.
Leaving ones home and being comfortable going out into the community is critical to clients acceptance, self-esteem, and quality of life. ARBIs Community Integration Program facilitates this transition by assisting clients to participate in meaningful activities both at ARBI and in the community. Depending on a clients interests, they may choose an activity such as cooking, gardening, art or an exercise group based in their community.
The Recreation Therapist works with the client and the onsite team and will make suggestions and recommendations to the client and their family. The CIP team may also support integration in the community on a client by client basis.
Groups may include:
- Community Kitchen
- Woodshop
- Walking Group
- Music Group
Seasonal groups may include:
- Golfing
- Gardening
