About this organization
Alcove provides services for women eighteen years of age and older who have addictions, experiences of abuse, and mental health distress. Services are provided in a safe, caring, homelike facility which is integrated into a southwest Calgary community. Alcove promotes a holistic recovery model through a core curriculum that provides guidance for women to learn independent living skills that promote self-sufficiency and deals with addiction issues and past trauma. There are several phases to the program that follow a continuum of care model. It includes a 12 week live-in program and an Aftercare program that supports the women in transitioning back into the community.
