Alberta Brain Injury Initiative The Alberta Brain Injury Initiative (ABII) helps adults with acquired brain injury to live, work and participate in their communities. Blue Heron Support Services is part of the ABII network of agencies that assists survivors and their families in accessing supports from various programs and community resources across the province. We provide Supported Community Living (SCL) hours to survivors. Our Supports for Community Living service provides flexible supports to a person who has sustained a brain injury. The emphasis is on developing and maintaining daily living skills in order to promote and maximize each individuals independence. Support and training is designed to reinforce and develop each persons capacity for living as independently as possible.
