About this service
The Language Explorers' Club is a weekly program for school-aged newcomers who would like an additional chance to practice and strengthen their English skills. The group has enjoyed a varied program of meetings and outings since it began in March 2016, and members have enjoyed the added bonus of making new friends.
With classroom time focusing on themes like weather, money, directions and moods, Language Explorers' Club members learn and use vocabulary useful for a wide variety of situations.
Through games and activities, Language Explorers have many chances to socialise with one another, all while improving their language skills. Reading, writing, listening and speaking are all included in the program, and participants are also assisted in perfecting their English grammar with help from experienced elementary and ESL teachers, Michelle and Becky.
