About this service
Work experience is a 6-month program involving three to four placements in the community for individuals with little or no prior work experience. Our goal is to provide individuals with valuable hands-on experience in a real work environment and build relationships in the business community. In this partnership model, the emphasis is on the development of skills by learning specific tasks. Participants are provided with a training allowance at no cost to the employer, and an on-the-job training mentor works closely with the trainee to monitor progress.
