Staffed My Homes

The staffed My Home is a supportive long-term home for young females ages 12 - 23 and a separate home for young males 12-18, who are at-risk. It is a place to go to when they are willing and wanting to exit their high risk lifestyles. The staffed My Home offers a warm, safe, drug & alcohol free home for youth to start their healing journey. The home is staffed 24 hours a day with youth workers available to provide support suited to each youths individual needs. There are many additional community supports and services that the youth can be additionally connected with if needed. Each youth has the opportunity to participate in decision making regarding their case plan, grocery shopping, and recreation activities. Each home is staffed with trained youth workers who are able to assist the youth with basic life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and getting up for school. In addition to the in-house staff there are also mobile support workers that assist in providing support to the youth. The youth workers are someone the youth can trust and build meaningful relationships with while maintaining confidentiality. These workers are responsible for setting up and providing transportation to school, meetings, appointments, day to day living, or just to be a listening ear for The staffed My Homes are open to 12 - 23 year old females and 12-18 year old males who are in the care of the Ministry of Social Services and are in need of additional support in their life. The Saskatoon Downtown The My Homes are home to 3 support dogs Buddy, Mikita, and Mufasa. They are empathetic companions that are able to help youth struggling day to day with mental health, addictions, or just needing someone to lean on. The youth have the ability to take on feeding, walking, grooming, and tending to their basic needs daily.
