About this service
Peer Support Program: Peer Support, provided by people with their own lived experience of mental health and/or addiction challenges, provides clients with extra support and understanding as they work towards a goal. Some goals we have helped people with include attending a new group or program, signing up for volunteer work, and developing conversation skills. Having a peer support worker can increase people's sense of hope and belief in recovery. Referrals to this program can be made by Mental Health & Addictions (MHAS) staff on behalf of their clients. Clients without an MHAS worker can seek a referral to our program by calling Centralized Intake at 306-655-7777 or contact McKerracher Centre for more information.
