Breastfeeding peer support/Mothering support group happens twice a week on Mondays at 1:00pm to 4:00pm and Fridays 6:00pm to 8:00pm, meals and coffee are provided. The group engages in discussions about various topics about mothering and breastfeeding. This groups is open to all mothers, grandmothers and women who are currently parenting children. Mothers are also able to meet with our knowledgeable and inspired lactation consultants June Friesen and Johanna Bergerman, they also instruct the Breastfeeding Peer Support Training Program where mothers learn the leadership skills and breastfeeding knowledge needed to start facilitating the group themselves. The training happens about twice a year.
