CFS Saskatoon - Counselling for Kids & Teens

Program Details In addition to the group programs we run, we do offer individual and family counselling services for children ages 6 and up. CFS has a team of experienced counsellors who are skilled in working with children and youth one on one, and/or with their parents/caregivers in smaller, private, environment. We provide support to children who are dealing with a wide range of issues from anxiety, to bullying, and building their self esteem. However, children are impacted by what occurs in their home and by what happens to their parents too, and often use behaviours instead of words to express what is happening to them. We also provide counselling on issues such as (but not limited to): Blended Family Issues Adjusting to Parental Separation & Divorce Behavioural Issues Parent/Child Relationships Parent/Teen Relationships Mental Health and Addictions Issues Abuse Issues Sessions are 50 minutes. Did You Know? Your Extended Health Benefits through your place of employment such as Blue Cross or Manulife, etc., may cover the costs for counselling. CFS also provides services for many Employee and Family Assistance Programs (EAP). Program Fees As a result of changes to our funding agreements we have instituted a flat rate of $25/session for those whose family income is $80,000 or less. All clients paying $25/session will be served by a student intern. Anyone else will pay our full fee $120/session.
