About this organization
The Silverwood Heights Community Association is a non-profit organization run by dedicated volunteers in the Silverwood Heights neighborhood located in the northern end of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
What they offer
The Seniors Neighbourhood Hub Club (SNHC) is a Saskatchewan Council on Aging (SCOA) age-friendly initiative, aimed at reducing the isolation faced by many older adults within the city. Older adults are invited to attend a FREE drop-in program once a month. Each session begins with a blood pressure clinic for participants, followed by an informative presentation from various community organizations such as The Parkinsons Society, Prairie Hospital and Fire and Fall Prevention. A Pharmacist will be on-site to answer any medication and prescription questions through a program sponsored by a local pharmacist, and a short exercise session is included. Get to know your neighbours at this fun, social program. Refreshments are provided.
