Saskatoon Region Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECIP)

ECIPs help children who experience developmental delays to reach their best potential. ECIP interventionists/consultants build relationships with families and assist them in working toward mutually-identified goals for their children and family. Parents are key players on the team. ECIP staff provide an important link between families and other professionals. ECIP staff work collaboratively with child care providers, speech and language pathologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, early childhood psychologists, teachers, and school administrators, among others, to support achievement of family-centered goals. ECIP staff also support smooth transitions into school and other centre-based programs and services as needed. Learn more about our services:

Early childhood consultants are available to provide a variety of services. These include: Regular visits to the home or other location as determined by you and your Consultant to best suit the needs of your child and family. Individual programs for each child developed by the family and the Early Childhood Consultant. Supplying resource materials. Assisting in organizing parent support groups and centre based activities such as parent and tot groups, toddler programs and training workshops. Assisting families to access other community services. Consulting with a child's multidisciplinary team which may consist of medical personnel, psychologists, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, social workers, physiotherapists, dietiticians, nurses, community agencies, teachers and educators.
