Mission Through community partnerships and authentic relationships, the Saskatoon Friendship Inn fosters a compassionate sense of belonging for our neighbours in need by serving daily nutritious meals, offering friendship, and providing referrals and programming that meet people where they are. Our Values In pursuing our mission the Inn should be sensitive to: The needs of the individual, including the mental, spiritual, physical and emotional aspects of the individual, The needs of the family, including the familys physical environment, the emotional support of the family, and the development of family values, and The needs of the community, including the cultural needs, the economic needs, and the social needs of the community. History Vulnerable people find safe sanctuary at the Saskatoon Friendship Inn, located on 20th Street in the heart of the inner city. Free breakfast and lunch meal services are offered 365 days of the year, with no questions asked. On March 4, 1969, the Saskatoon Friendship Inn began serving community when a small group of concerned residents provided six transient men with a bowl of soup. Their initial work with the Saskatoon Catholic Diocese evolved into relationships with numerous community partners and has become non-denominational. Today, the Inn has evolved to become a community centre and provides the largest free meal service in Saskatoon, serving up to 1000 meals per day. The Friendship Inn provides a welcoming environment for anyone in need, offering a range of programming and services to assist individuals and families experiencing poverty.

Regular meal service for individual and group services and friendship to people who experience poverty. The Inn offers solvent abuse preventions and education. Community development and public awareness is promoted for poverty issues. There are two hot meals per day, support counselling, self-help programming, kids activities, referrals to other social agencies, and a social services advocate. The Inn is open 365 day per year at no charge to clients.
